KOTA KINABALU – Sabah chief minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Md Noor today thanked frontliners and healthcare workers in the state for stabilising the Covid-19 outbreak here.

“The state government truly appreciates the dedication, hard work and sacrifices made by  members of the Health Ministry at all levels in the battle against Covid-19 in Sabah. 

“I am happy to note that the Covid-19 cases in Sabah have started to stabilise. Many areas in Sabah are no longer red zones,” said Hajiji in a statement today.

Hajiji, who is also Sulaman assemblyman, thanked Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah for his efforts against Covid-19.

The number of new cases in Sabah dropped to 319 cases yesterday after weeks of registering more than 500 daily cases. 

The number of red zones have also been reduced to 12. 

Meanwhile, Hap Seng Group via the Lau Gek Poh foundation donated RM2 million to Sabah for the purpose of buying three mobile x-ray machines and 11 mobile ventilators. 

Petronas also donated one million face masks to the state Disaster Management (Covid-19) Committee while Sabah Cement Industries donated RM100,000 for anti-Covid efforts. – The Vibes, November 13, 2020
