PUTRAJAYA – The Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry (MoTAC) has not appointed any individual or organisation as an agent in applying for the Tourism, Arts and Culture Matching Grant.

The ministry clarified this in a statement today in light of information that individuals are claiming to have been appointed as agents for grant applications under the ministry.

MoTAC said that eligible parties could apply directly for the grant in accordance with the conditions set through the following address: Urus Setia Geran Padanan Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya, Lembaga Penggalakan Pelancongan Malaysia (Tourism Malaysia), Bahagian Perancangan Strategik, Aras 2, No.2, Menara 1, Jalan P5/6, Presint 5, 62200 Putrajaya.

According to MoTAC, interested parties can also make applications via email to [email protected].

The grant is a government initiative through MoTAC to encourage industry players from various sectors, and backgrounds organising high-impact tourism, arts, and cultural events this year to reinstate Malaysia as a top tourism destination.

The grant is divided into two separate grants, namely the Tourism Sector Matching Grant and Cultural Sector Matching Grant, with a total budget of RM50 million, aimed at invigorating and revitalising the tourism and culture sectors that have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

More information on the two grants can be found at www.motac.gov.my and www.tourism.gov.my. – Bernama, August 10, 2022
