SHAH ALAM – The Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) has confirmed that an employee at its headquarters in Section 13 here has tested positive for Covid-19.

In a statement yesterday, the board said the staffer got the result on Sunday after undergoing screening on Thursday, and has been admitted to hospital.

The employee was found to have been in close contact with a family member who contracted the coronavirus, and had been ordered to undergo self-quarantine for 14 days since November 11, said LZS.

“During this period, the employee did not go to the LZS office, and did not have any dealings with other staff or clients.

“LZS is working closely with the Health Ministry to ensure all actions to check the spread of Covid-19 are implemented quickly.”

It said disinfection has been carried out at the workplace, adding that customers are urged to comply with health and safety rules at all branches. – Bernama, November 24, 2020
