KUALA LUMPUR – A total of more than 100 free buses will be provided to commuters to ease their travel following the week-long service suspension of 16 LRT stations between Kelana Jaya and Ampang Park.

This comes after the Selangor government offered 20 buses from its Smart Bus fleet.

The buses will be servicing these routes:

• Route 1: Ara Damansara station to Pasar Seni station
• Route 2: Ara Damansara station to Kelana Jaya station
• Route 3: Kelana Jaya station to Pasar Seni station
• Route 4: Pasar Seni station to Masjid Jamek station
• Route 5: Masjid Jamek station to Datuk Keramat station

Some 80 personnel will be deployed to the LRT stations to facilitate commuters using the bus service.

LRT operator Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd will provide free train fares, which will be implemented once the service resumes.

It said in a statement that more information will be provided.

This morning, a slew of commuters took to social media to vent their frustration after it was announced at 5am that the services at 16 stations were suspended for seven days.

The latest development comes following reports of service disruption between the KLCC and Kelana Jaya stations yesterday afternoon and the day before. – The Vibes, November 9, 2022
