KLUANG – Barisan Nasional treasurer-general Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein has advised young people to vote wisely in the general election this Saturday.

Hishammuddin also reminded them not to be easily influenced by inaccurate campaign information spread through social media such as TikTok because it could interfere with their judgment.

“Young voters need to make wise decisions and not rely on sentiments on social media, especially the inaccurate news on apps like TikTok,” he told reporters after a meet-and-greet programme at Kg Melayu Batu 4, here today.

In another development, Hishammuddin, who is caretaker defence minister, denied Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s claim that the armed forces were struggling with chronic financial problems resulting in insufficient ammunition to conduct live-fire training.

He said the government was always committed to meeting the needs and demands of the security forces. – Bernama, November 16, 2022
