KUALA LUMPUR – After suffering a tremendous defeat, Barisan Nasional (BN) will be discussing the possibility of forming a coalition government with its more victorious rivals at a meeting at 8pm tomorrow.

The Vibes’ Bahasa Malaysia sister portal Getaran reported that MCA publicity bureau chairman Chan Quin Er stressed that she has no autonomy to speak regarding a coalition government on his own.

“We have to discuss (a coalition government) first. We don’t know, because I don’t have the autonomy to decide,” she told the press.

Chan then stressed that it is also critical for BN to reflect and study the results of the 15th national contest while accepting the people’s mandate, leading to its fall from grace.

As of 2.30am, the unofficial tally sees BN holding only 29 seats when compared to PH with 62 seats, PN with 43 seats, GPS with 22 seats, Warisan with two seats and PBM with one seat.

“We must identify our weakness and discuss this during our meeting tomorrow,” said Chan. – The Vibes, November 20, 2022
