M’sia, S’pore ink MoUs on cybersecurity, digital and green economy

SINGAPORE – Putrajaya has inked two frameworks and one memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Singapore government on cybersecurity as well as digital and green economy.

The two frameworks on the cooperation in digital economy and green economy were signed by International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz on behalf of the Malaysian government and his counterpart Trade and Industry Minister Gan Kim Yong on behalf of the Singapore government.

Meanwhile, Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil represented Malaysia in signing the MoU to promote cooperation on data, cybersecurity, and the digital economy together with the republic’s Communications and Information Minister Josephine Teo.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong witnessed the ceremony at The Istana.

Anwar led the Malaysian delegation on his first official visit to Singapore.

The signing of these documents will allow both countries to explore high-impact investment opportunities for shared prosperity. – The Vibes, January 30, 2023
