KUALA LUMPUR – The investigations into the Pandora Papers, the Malaysia Madani concept and the development of Kg Baru, Kuala Lumpur are among the issues to be raised at the Dewan Rakyat sitting today.

According to the order paper on the Parliament website, these questions will be answered by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during Minister’s Question Time.

Datuk Seri Noraini Ahmad (Parit Sulong-BN) will ask the prime minister to state the government’s stance on the Pandora Papers, as well as follow-up actions by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, Bank Negara Malaysia, and police.

Ahmad Fadhil Shaari (Pasir Mas-PN) is scheduled to ask about the model adopted in the establishment of the Malaysia Madani concept and to what extent it is officially applied in the government’s administrative system and current policies.

Azli Yusof (Shah Alam-PH) will ask whether the government plans to continue with the comprehensive development of Kg Baru as done by the former Federal Territories minister under the Pakatan Harapan government from 2018 to 2020.

For the Questions for Oral Answers session, Datuk R. Ramanan (Sg Buloh-PH) will ask the transport minister to state whether the number of feeder buses and their routes will be increased for the people’s use.

Aminolhuda Hassan (Sri Gading-PH) will ask the foreign minister about the measures that have been taken to ensure the safety of Malaysians who have fallen victim to scams abroad, especially in Myanmar.

Also listed is Datuk Seri Ismail Abd Mutalib (Maran-PN) who is expected to ask the health minister about the government’s actions to prevent the migration of doctors abroad and the number of contract doctors who have not been given permanent positions.

After the question-and-answer session, members of the Dewan Rakyat will continue the debate session on the motion of thanks on the royal address.

The current Dewan Rakyat will sit for 29 days until March 30. – Bernama, February 21, 2023
