KUALA LUMPUR – Bersatu Women’s wing, Srikandi, has been urged to work harder to secure victory for Perikatan Nasional (PN) in the upcoming state elections involving Selangor, Kedah, Penang, Kelantan, Terengganu and Negri Sembilan.

Srikandi head Datuk Seri Rina Harun also urged Srikandi members to remain loyal to the party and its leadership.

“Thank you to Srikandi members who have been loyal to the party throughout the political upheaval. Srikandi will continue to stand strong to ensure that Bersatu remains relevant forever,” she said in her policy speech at Srikandi general assembly here, today.

The three-day Bersatu 2022 annual general assembly kicked off today with Srikandi’s meeting.

The party’s Youth movement, Armada’s general assembly will take place tomorrow.

For the first time, the two assemblies are not held simultaneously following the current developments plaguing its president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

The president’s policy speech and the opening ceremony for the party’s annual general assembly which was scheduled to take place at about 8pm tomorrow have been cancelled and will be replaced by a rally and public lecture at Pusat Tarbiyah PAS in Gombak, Selangor. – Bernama, March 9, 2023
