THE Qatar World Cup is over and Argentina, led by football maestro Lionel Messi, clinched their third world title after an exciting win against 2018 champions France.

Can we say that the Qatar World Cup will go down as the best edition so far in the history of televised football?

The Vibes Sports talk to Executive Editor Manvir Victor to get his views and how he rates the recently concluded World Cup.

Some fans believe that Qatar has hosted the best World Cup edition – some may beg to differ, citing political and ideological differences with the Qataris, and the ban of alcohol sales in the vicinity of the stadium took away from the spirit of the World Cup.

Whatever has been said and done, we feel that the Qatar World Cup had everything it needed to be rated as one of the better World Cup editions.

There were shock defeats, surprise packages, and also drama up until the last day of the tournament.

What most football fans can agree on is that the final between Argentina and France was the best final match in the history of modern football.

The final was filled with drama and in the end the entire world saw the greatest player on Earth at the moment – Messi – get to lift the World Cup trophy.

Join us as we wrap-up the Qatar World Cup. Although we are not professional pundits or even wannabe pundits – we love talking about the game. – The Vibes, December 21, 2022
