KUALA LUMPUR – The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) has once again been awarded a five-star rating by the Sports Commissioner’s Office (PJS).

The rating is based on the overall achievements of the association’s athletes and officials as well as its performance from a managerial and financial standpoint.

Besides that, the rating is based on the timeliness of document submissions, including documentation associated with the organisation’s annual general meeting, the minutes of other respective meetings and official activity reports.

BAM president Tan Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria says the consistent five-star rating received by the national association shows its commitment towards performing at the highest levels.

“It shows our approach towards governance issues and sports development for athletes − from preliminary levels until the elite stage − is recognised by PJS.

“We will continue to strengthen our governance, processes, finances and other aspects to remain as one of the best sports associations in the country,” he said.

The Malaysian Hockey Confederation also received a five-star rating from PJS. – The Vibes, March 3, 2022
