MIRI – The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee today decided to allow dining in restaurants starting tomorrow, in another U-turn over the matter. happened merely three days after it decided not to allow.

“However, food operators must be vaccinated at least with first dose,” the committee said in a statement after evaluating the current situation in the state.

Today saw four more Covid-19 deaths, with two men aged 31 and 78 and a woman aged 71 in Sibu plus a man aged 50 in Kapit, leading to a total death toll of 443 victims.

There were 363 new infections today, with Kuching seeing 137 cases, Lundu 120, Sibu 21, Subis 14, Miri eight and several other districts below five each.

Furthermore, the secretariat reported that there are two new clusters in Sarawak today.

The Salak Land cluster in Kuching saw a security firm with 41 workers infected while the Sebayor cluster in Samarahan saw 16 in a village infected during a social gathering. – The Vibes, July 15, 2021
