Brunei reports zero new Covid-19 cases for 15th straight day

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – Brunei reported no new cases of Covid-19 today, with the country’s caseload standing at 152, reported Xinhua news agency.

According to Brunei’s Health Ministry, there are no active cases in the country and the total number of recovered cases remain at 149.

It also marked the 15th consecutive day without new cases since December 8, when the country recorded an imported case from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

A total of 11 imported cases have been confirmed since the last local infection case was reported on May 6. At present, Brunei has reported 231 days without local Covid-19 infections.

Meanwhile, currently 734 individuals who arrived in the country after traveling abroad are undergoing mandatory isolation at the monitoring centres provided by the government.
