6-month-old accidentally gets Covid-19 jab in Chile

MOSCOW – A 6-month-old baby in Chile has accidentally received the Covid-19 vaccine produced by China’s Sinovac, Sputnik quoted a report yesterday by the 24 Horas broadcaster, citing local authorities.

The infant was vaccinated after being brought by the mother to a family health centre in the commune of Tirua in the Bio Bio region for age-appropriate jabs.

The commune said it has relayed all the necessary information to the authorities, and is observing the child.

So far, the baby has not shown any negative reaction.

An investigation into the incident is under way. – Bernama, March 19, 2021
