SINGAPORE – The republic yesterday reported another death arising from Covid-19 complications, taking its total fatalities to 32.
The Health Ministry, in its report last night, said the latest death involves a 70-year-old local man.
Labelled Case No. 62,687, the victim was warded at Tan Tock Seng Hospital on April 22, and was confirmed positive for the coronavirus on April 30.
“He had not been vaccinated against Covid-19, and had a history of lung cancer and atrial fibrillation,” said the ministry.
Prior to this, the last Covid-19 death in Singapore was recorded on May 1.
The country has a total of 61,730 infections, and 24 clusters still “open”. – Bernama, May 21, 2021
