JAKARTA – Tourism Malaysia in collaboration with the Indonesian Tour and Travel Agencies Association (Asita) is offering special travel packages as low as Rp1 million (RM300) for Indonesians who want to visit Malaysia next year.
Tourism Malaysia director in Indonesia Roslan Othman said the package, through the “Dream Now! Travel Later” programme, allows Indonesians who want to travel to Malaysia to buy the package earlier, adding that the package can be used whenever they want during the year.
“Via this programme, customers can buy the package first and use it when the Malaysian border reopens later, without having to worry about price changes,” he said at the launch of the programme here yesterday.
Asita president N. Rusmiati said the packages offered, which exclude flight tickets, are among those included in the three-day two-night Millenial Package (priced at Rp1 million per individual), which features interesting destinations in Malaysia and stays at four-star hotels.
The four-day three-night KL and Beyond Package (Rp1.75 to Rp2.3 million) covers some of Malaysia’s leading tourist destinations and stays in four-star hotels.
The Tour Package 2 and 3 Countries (Rp2.5 million to Rp3.3 million) are for a five-day four-night visit to interesting tourist destinations in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
“Malaysia is the destination of choice for Indonesians. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, more than 3 million Indonesians visit Malaysia every year, and it is hoped that the Dream Now! Travel Later programme can revive the tourism industry involving Malaysia and Indonesia,” Rusmiati said. – Bernama, December 31, 2020
