MALAYSIANS are divided over the actions of a woman caught on video acting suspiciously at a dessert kiosk in Sunway Velocity Mall recently.

The CCTV footage uploaded on X by @‌redrun_ showed the elderly woman picking up dessert boxes from the “kitashareshare” dessert kiosk, tasting the contents, then returning them to the kiosk.

She did the same with several boxes before finally putting an unopened one into a plastic bag and leaving.

From the footage, it did not appear the woman paid for any of the boxes.

The kiosk owner had to dispose of all the boxes the woman “tasted”.

While some online users sympathised with the woman, others criticised her actions.

Some said the woman was probably hungry, while others said she should have just taken one and not opened several boxes to taste the contents. – The Vibes, December 13, 2023.
