THE price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will be reduced by five sen from RM3.30 to RM3.25 per litre from tomorrow onwards, the Finance Ministry announced today.

In a statement, it said the price of RON97 will stay at RM3.47 per litre and RON95 at RM2.05 per litre. Diesel will continue to retail at RM2.15 per litre in East Malaysia.

These prices will remain in effect until August 21.

The ministry said the reduced price of diesel on the peninsula was a result of the decline in global crude oil prices.

The last time the price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia dipped was on August 8 when it fell by five sen from RM3.35 to RM3.30 per litre. – August 14, 2024.
