POLICE in Bintulu arrested six men for their alleged involvement in a Molotov firebomb attack at a businessman's home that destroyed two luxury cars and the front portion of his house.
Bintulu police chief Nixon Joshua said the attack happened yesterday around 4 pm and the suspects were arrested not long after in various locations in Bintulu.
"The six have been arrested and are being probed for causing public mischief.
"Close circuit television footage at the businessman's house provided evidence of the attack.
"The suspects were seen getting out of a car and throwing something into the house compound and there was a loud noise and explosion that caused the fire.
"The suspects were involved in other crimes before including drug offences," he said in a press statement.
The businessman and his family were not hurt in the attack, Nixon said.
The motive for the attack is being probed, he added. - October 13, 2024
