THERE are certain senior national leaders in Peninsular Malaysia who are jealous of the Sarawak state government’s success, claimed a Gabungan Parti Sarawak state assemblyman today.

State assemblyman for Satok, Datuk Ibrahim Baki claimed in the State Assembly sitting that these jealous elements are trying to stir up trouble for Sarawak.

"There are certain senior leaders in Peninsular Malaysia who are jealous of the Sarawak government's success.

"They want to stir up trouble to disrupt our progress.

"Certain of these people are the disruptive voices against us in Peninsular Malaysia.

"When we are prosperous and have money they want to create problems," he claimed in his debate speech.

Ibrahim, who is from GPS component Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu, did not specifically name any of those he claimed are trying to create trouble for Sarawak.

However, he said Sarawak state leaders know how to handle these troublemakers.
