A THREE-year-old boy was injured on the face after allegedly falling from a car at KM5, Jalan Lipis-Merapoh near Kampung Tempoyang, in Lipis, Pahang yesterday.

Lipis Police Chief Ismail Man, said the incident occurred around 11am when the child was travelling with his 36-year-old father, reported Kosmo!

At the time of the incident, the driver of the Proton Iswara Aeroback was on his way from a hardware store in Tempoyang towards Simpang Tempoyang to make a U-turn.

"As soon as he made a turn, the driver stopped by the roadside to answer a phone call.

"After that, he continued his journey for almost two kilometres and only realised his child was not in the vehicle when he arrived at KM7 Jalan Lipis-Merapoh," he said.

Ismail added that the driver then rushed to the Kuala Lipis police station to file a report after failing to find his son.

He said that at the same time, a road user spotted the child with facial injuries alone by the roadside.

He then took the victim to the Padang Tengku police station before the child was sent to the Padang Tengku Health Clinic for treatment.

"Initial investigations revealed that the victim is believed to have fallen through the open left rear door window of the vehicle when the driver stopped to answer a call.

"The victim is currently receiving further treatment at Kuala Lipis Hospital," added Ismail. - April 8, 2025
