KUALA Lumpur police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said there were no political links detected in the disappearance of Datin Seri Pamela Ling.
He told reporters that police investigations found no evidence or testimonies related to such links.
"So far, police have no new leads.
"A total 47 people had been called in to date," he said.
He said investigations had also revealed that there were no money transfers from Pamela's bank account and that she did not possess any foreign passport.
"We questioned her husband for while he was in our custody, and he was cooperative.
"Apart from her children, we also recorded a statement from another person, who is her friend in Singapore," he said.
Asked why Pamela's husband's remand was earlierrejected by the court, he said the court stated that there was no need to remand the man.
"In short, the court stated that there was no need (to remand) because this witness can be called at any time and they (the witness's lawyer) gave us their assurance," he said.
He said that the investigation was still active though it happened a month ago. - May 26, 2025
