POLICE have confirmed receiving two reports regarding a viral video showing a disagreement between two road users that occurred at the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Lane, Bukit Tambun Toll Plaza Southbound.

South Seberang Perai Police Chief, Jay January Siowou, said efforts were underway to trace the suspects involved for further investigation.

According to him, the incident at about 5.15pm involved two cars that were hit from behind, leading to an argument, property damage and allegations of physical assault and criminal threats by one of the individuals involved.

"The video of the incident, which was recorded via a dashboard camera (dashcam), went viral on social media and caused various reactions from the public.

"Efforts to track down the suspects are being actively carried out by the Criminal Investigation Division, South Seberang Perai District Police Headquarters (IPD)," he said in a statement uploaded on the South Seberang Perai IPD Facebook (FB).

He said the case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code, for causing injury, and Section 506 of the Penal Code, which is criminal intimidation.

Earlier, a 28-second video went viral on social media showing a disagreement between two men in one of the toll lanes, attracting the attention of netizens who left various funny comments.

A man driving a Perodua Bezza was seen wearing only a 'sarong' and no shirt, pulling out a weapon while demonstrating silat skills.

However, a man driving a Honda tried to retaliate with some boxing skills.

They left the location after another man came to calm the situation. – June 1, 2025
