THE Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) has launched the Program Jualan Rahmah MADANI (PJRM) Mega Hari Malaysia in Pahang, offering deep discounts on essential goods in a bid to ease the financial burden on the public.
Held at the front grounds of the Fishermen's Market in Pantai Sepat, Kuantan, the two-day event (13–14 September) features more than 100 daily necessities sold at prices 10 to 30 percent below the local market average.
“The PJRM initiative is about strengthening the people’s economy by bringing basic goods to the community at lower prices,” said Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, Senator Datuk Dr Hajah Fuziah Salleh, during her site visit.
Organised in strategic collaboration with two PJRM operators and the Pahang branch of the Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority (LKIM), the programme includes items such as fresh meat, chicken, rice, vegetables, cooking oil, eggs, flour, spices, dishwashing liquid, laundry soap and more.
As part of the promotion, fresh meat is sold at RM25 per kilogram, whole chickens for RM10 to RM11 each, and grade B eggs at RM9.50 per tray.
Visitors eligible under the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) programme also benefit, using their RM100 one-off assistance to purchase selected items at the PJRM Mega.
“Up to 12 September 2025, PJRM has been implemented at 1,012 locations across all 14 parliamentary constituencies and 42 state assembly seats in Pahang,” said Fuziah. “This includes 379 in-premises events, 616 mobile sales, 8 market-based sales, 7 campus programmes and 2 outdoor setups.”
In addition, 1,500 early visitors to the PJRM Mega in Kuantan will receive RM20 e-wallet incentives, further encouraging cashless transactions and economic participation.
As part of the event, Fuziah also distributed zakat wakalah contributions from the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) to 127 asnaf recipients from Pantai Sepat, Kampung Sepat and the surrounding areas.
