RESIDENTS in Tawau will face scheduled power interruptions starting today, as Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) enforces a load-shedding plan involving four rotating schedules.
In a statement, Sabah Electricity said the electricity supply would be cut for approximately three hours during each scheduled rotation, depending on the condition of the local power network at the time.
According to the utility company, “Rotation 1 will take place from 12 midnight to 3am and again from 12 noon to 3pm, while Rotation 2 runs from 3am to 6am and 3pm to 6pm.”
“Rotation 3 will cover 6am to 9am and 6pm to 9pm, while Rotation 4 is scheduled from 9am to 12 noon and from 9pm to 12 midnight,” it added.
The utility cautioned that actual timings may vary based on the status of Tawau’s power distribution system at any given moment.
Consumers affected by the outages are encouraged to seek updates via SESB’s Hotline at 15444 or 088-515000, or through WhatsApp at 019-8525427. Further information is also available on the official Sabah Electricity Careline Facebook page. - September 16, 2025
