THE Home Ministry has uncovered several new leads on the whereabouts of fugitive businessman Datuk Seri Muhammad Adlan Berhan, Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail revealed in Parliament on Thursday.
Saifuddin, however, declined to disclose further details, saying that doing so could compromise the ongoing investigation.
“The issue now concerns his whereabouts. I can say that our cooperation with international police is ongoing, and indeed, we have found several new leads,” he said during the winding-up of the 2026 Supply Bill debate in the Dewan Rakyat.
“I do not wish to elaborate further as it could interfere with our investigation,” he added, responding to a question from RSN Rayer (PH–Jelutong) on whether former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (PN–Pagoh) could be asked to provide information about his son-in-law’s location.
In reply to Ramkarpal Singh (PH–Bukit Gelugor), who asked about cooperation with the International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL), Saifuddin confirmed that the agency was aware of Malaysia’s notification regarding Adlan.
“Our authorities’ notice is indeed within INTERPOL’s knowledge. During my recent meeting with the INTERPOL Secretary-General in China a few weeks ago, he confirmed that our notification is recorded in their system,” he said. - October 30, 2025
