THERE is only one seat left to be decided between Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) for the Sabah State Election (PRN).
PH Secretary-General Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the matter was discussed in a meeting involving PH leaders, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Sabah Chief Minister and GRS representatives yesterday.
"Yesterday, PH Chairman (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim), myself, and also Nurul Izzah Anwar (as) PKR Deputy President had discussions with the Sabah Chief Minister (Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor) and Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun representing GRS.
"The purpose of the meeting was to finalise the seat discussion process, and I can say that between the two parties this has already been completed. Except for one.
"Yes, we still have a few things to iron out," he told a press conference.
On October 9, Hajiji announced the dissolution of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (DUN), paving the way for the 17th Sabah election to be held within 60 days.
This was done after receiving the approval of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah, Tun Musa Aman. This time, the election will see 73 state assembly seats contested.
The Election Commission (EC) has set November 29 as polling day for the 17th Sabah General Election, with the nomination date on November 15 and the early voting date on November 25. – October 31, 2025
