COSMETICS entrepreneur Datuk Seri Vida, 54, has insisted she does not regret defending her principles, even as her luxury vehicles and personal belongings were auctioned off on Thursday.
Speaking in a live TikTok broadcast, Vida, whose real name is Datuk Seri Hasmiza Othman, said, “I really did not want to pay.
“Even though I could, it hurt my heart. Paying the bank RM100,000 a month waiting for a project to be completed, but it hasn’t finished in three years. If I paid, my reputation would lose its value. But if I fight, people will still talk. I stay strong because I believe we must look forward.”
The auction, held at Vida’s Meru Heights residence, saw her assets sold for a total of RM1 million. The process began around 10.30 a.m. and concluded at approximately 1.40 p.m., with two bidders participating.
Ultimately, only one bidder, Norzamri Abdullah, acquired all the listed items after the other withdrew.
Assets sold included a Toyota Vellfire, Toyota Grand Hiace, BMW X7, and 727 household items such as sofas, dining tables, televisions, air conditioners, a telescope, electric guitars, a piano, karaoke set, pool table, wall decorations, and vases. - October 31, 2025
