Amanah President calls for unity and fair leadership within party
Remember, anyone who holds power must act fairly and with compassion towards every party member, Mat Sabu says - November 8, 2025

PARTI Amanah Negara (Amanah) president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu has emphasised that party leadership must foster unity rather than sow divisions, and that leadership belongs to all, not just to individuals or select groups.

“The senior leaders, including myself, will not be on this stage forever. We (the senior ones) will always train and make room for young leaders to continue the struggle. Remember, anyone who holds power must act fairly and with compassion towards every party member,” Mohamad Sabu or Mat Sabu as he is more popularly known, said.

Mat Sabu made the remarks during his presidential address at the 2025 Amanah National Convention held at Dewan Raja Muda Musa, Kompleks Belia dan Kebudayaan Selangor on Saturday. He emphasised that fairness and compassion are vital to the party’s core values.

He added that Amanah aims to nurture leaders who are not only competent within the party but also capable of leading the nation in the future.

“We want to produce leaders who are humble, not arrogant with their positions, and who are always conscious of the responsibility they carry,” he said. -  November 8, 2025
