The accident, which occurred at approximately 5.37 am, involved a Proton Saga, a Proton Wira, and a Perodua Myvi, carrying a total of seven passengers.

Commander of Operations at the Pasir Gudang Fire and Rescue Station, Senior Fire Officer I Nazarudin Yusof, stated that a team of eight personnel and a specialized Fire Rescue Team vehicle were dispatched to the scene, located about 24 kilometres from the station.

"Upon arrival at 5.58 am, our team found two victims trapped inside their vehicles. They were confirmed deceased at the scene by the Ministry of Health," said Nazarudin.

He added that the deceased were a 21-year-old man in the Proton Saga and a 19-year-old man in the Proton Wira.
