DATUK Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has resigned as Perikatan Nasional (PN) secretary-general.
His resignation follows the decision by Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to step down as the coalition chairman last night.
"My appointment as the secretary-general was made by Muhyiddin and I now resign from the post effective Jan 1, 2026," he said in a statement on Facebook.
He also resigned as the Selangor PN chairman effective from the same date.
"The cooperation from all parties is greatly appreciated and I wish to thank everyone for their support," he added.
It is believed that Muhyiddin's resignation is related to various insistences from PAS leaders against Muhyiddin's leadership in PN following the recent political crisis in Perlis. - December 30, 2025
