A WOMAN was reported to have been sexually assaulted while on a train at the Kerinchi Light Rail Transit (LRT) Station, on Thursday.

Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the incident occurred at about 7.20pm while the complainant was on the train.

According to him, the victim claimed to have been molested on the buttocks by an unknown man.

“At the time of the incident, the train was quite crowded, and the complainant was unable to identify the suspect because the man was wearing a face mask,” he said in a statement today.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code, and further investigations are underway. – January 17, 2026
