FORMER Bersatu Deputy President, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin, did not rule out three possibilities for him after being sacked from the party yesterday.

The three possibilities he is considering are taking over the Berjasa party, returning to Umno or joining PAS.

The Larut MP, however, explained that any decision regarding the matter will be made by consensus with other leaders who were also sacked from Bersatu.

However, for now, the Leader of the Opposition admitted that he is comfortable playing the role of an Independent Member of Parliament until the position is decided otherwise later.

Hamzah also informed that PAS President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang advised him to remain calm in the face of any possibility during their meeting in Rusila, Terengganu, yesterday.

"I arrived, and he (Abdul Hadi) said: 'Insya-Allah, whatever happens must have a wisdom behind it'," he said.

Hamzah said Abdul Hadi also asked how many MPs were currently with him.

"So far, including myself, 19 out of 25 MPs have announced to be with me. That shows the majority," he said.

Hamzah stressed that he would not make decisions alone but would instead discuss with other leaders.

"I am not someone who makes decisions alone. There are friends I will discuss with," he said. – February 14, 2026
