DISCUSSIONS on future cooperation with Bersatu will be raised at the PAS Central Committee meeting scheduled to be held next Monday.

PAS central committee member Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the meeting would detail further actions on the results of the party's Syura Council discussions today.

"The meeting (PAS Syura Council) is still ongoing, and the focus of the discussions is on the unification of the ummah and the importance of unity.

"The discussions also paid close attention and great concern about the divisions that are occurring, which are detrimental to national politics.

"The decision and any details reached at the PAS Ulama Syura meeting will be brought to the PAS Central Committee," he said after attending the meeting at the party's headquarters today.

PAS-Bersatu relations were strained again when Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang said that PAS would reassess cooperation with the Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin-led party, which was seen as violating the spirit of friendship between Perikatan Nasional (PN) component parties.

The decision was made by PAS following a series of Bersatu actions that were deemed to be less than satisfactory to PAS.

Last week, the special meeting of the Central PAS Committee, among other things, was said to have received a report from the state commissioner on the Bersatu grassroots movement, which was seen to be leaning towards Team Reset led by former Bersatu deputy president, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.

The Bersatu Political Bureau then reminded PAS to respect and not interfere in the internal affairs of PN component parties regarding disciplinary matters and actions taken to stabilise the party.

Meanwhile, Annuar said that the PAS Syura Council meeting today did not discuss the Johor State Election (PRN) agenda after the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) was dissolved yesterday.
