KOTA KINABALU – Flash floods across Sabah’s west coast has left roads inundated and cars stranded.

Some of the worst affected areas are Telipok and Menggatal, two towns on the outskirts of the state capital here, as well as the districts of Penampang and Tuaran.

Traffic in these parts are at a standstill this morning. 

The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow weather alert in affected districts, warning of torrential rainfall over the next three days.

In an update on the situation, the Malaysia Civil Defence Force said it is monitoring the situation. – The Vibes, October 5, 2020
