122 schools in Sabah to be closed from tomorrow due to CMCO

KOTA KINABALU – All schools in Penampang, Kota Kinabalu and Putatan will be closed tomorrow (October 6) in view of the conditional movement control order (CMCO) that will be implemented the following day (October 7). 

The Ministry of Education says that 122 schools in total within the districts in question, will be closed. 

“It will involve 86 primary schools, 25 secondary schools and 11 private schools,” the ministry said in a statement posted on its website today. 

The ministry added that schools outside the three districts will operate normally. 

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri earlier announced the implementation of the CMCO in the three districts effective midnight this Wednesday in view of the spike in Covid-19 cases in the state. – The Vibes, October 5, 2020
