KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysians on Twitter have shared their AstraZeneca vaccine experience with the rib-tickling hashtag #CucukMYAZ.
The hashtag began trending since early yesterday morning as the voluntary AstraZeneca vaccination programme kicked off at special vaccination centres (PPVs) at World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, Universiti Malaya, and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
Relating their stories with fellow netizens, most of the posts shared by Twitter users were light-hearted.
Some even went out of their way to provide a blow-by-blow account of what transpired, from the time they entered the PPVs through to the end of the entire process.
Twitter user Syawal Hafriz (@syawalhafriz) applauded those involved in making the programme a success.
First dose - checked. So far so good. The entire process was well-coordinated, took less than 30mins.

My aunt is waiting for her turn at PWTC and clapping for each and every person who got their jab as they exit ? So much joy. Lets keep vaccinating! #CucukMYAZ

#CucukMYAZ, which has more than 3,000 tweets to its name at the time of writing, has become a source of humour for netizens over its suggestive nature. The hashtag is believed to have been created by user R (@rincredible).
“Because it came up more than a couple of times – yes, I know what #CucukMYAZ sounds like when you say it out loud and it’s VERY intentional,” R. said.
“Give me some credit la, I’ve worked in marketing and advertising for over a decade and been paid to write for almost two.”

Others such as Leesh (@iMleesh) also relayed useful information.
A number of you have asked. No, you don’t immediately get your 2nd dose appointment. Final station officer said it will be at the 12-week mark. Wait for MySejahtera to push out the appointment date. After 1st dose, you will see your app updated #CucukMYAZ #AstraZeneca pic.twitter.com/5lEQRp7qRt

Meanwhile, a Twitter user named pichang goyeng original (@thewootwoot) told other vaccine recipients to go early if their appointment is after 5pm.
“If your appointment is AFTER 5pm like me (mine kept changing in MySj), please go earlier. The PPV closes at 5pm because of Ramadan,”
