MIRI – Four detainees who found a way out via the toilets at the Puncak Borneo prison have been recaptured this afternoon near residential areas on the outskirts of Kuching.
Three Malaysians and one Indonesian national had been on the run since July 1.
The manhunt consisted of prison officials, police, soldiers and General Operations Force units.
Padawan district police chief Aidil Bolhassan told reporters that the escapees were located following tip-offs from the public.
