KUALA LUMPUR – Water supply in 998 areas disrupted by upgrading and maintenance works for critical assets at the Sg Selangor Phase 1 Water Treatment Plant is 28% restored as at 6am today.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd corporate communication head Elina Baseri said areas in Kuala Selangor recorded a 75.6% recovery rate, followed by Hulu Selangor (60.7%), Petaling (60.4%), Shah Alam (40.4%) and Klang (0.9%).

Three areas, namely Gombak, Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Langat, are still at zero recovery rate, she said in a statement today.

Klang Valley residents began experiencing the scheduled water supply disruption at 9am on Wednesday.

Consumers whose water supply has been restored are advised to use water prudently to ensure the restoration process in the affected areas runs smoothly.
