MELAKA – The independent candidate for the Serkam constituency here has claimed to be a victim of cyberbullying, having been accused of being anti-mufti, anti-modern medicine, and an anti-vaxxer.

Wanting to defend his image and reputation, Norazalanshah Hazali lodged a report at the Jasin district police headquarters last night.

When interviewed by Getaran, Norazalanshah, who is a tech graduate, alleged that the accusations were lobbed by a group of medicinal experts in a Facebook group.

“Those who challenged my expertise are doctors who do not want alternative medicine based on Islamic knowledge to be preached.

“They have accused me of being anti everything, when in reality, I have only been teaching the citizens about the side-effects of modern medicine as well as the advantages of herbal medicine such as madu, mas cotek and daun bidara.”

He said he was a medical bioscience lecturer at an institute of higher learning in Kuantan before running for the Serkam seat.

“All of the information I have shared is based on the extensive research I have carried out.”

However, he said this will not dampen his spirits against contesting in Melaka on November 20.

“As an Islamic scientist, I will not give up. This God-given knowledge will benefit society as a whole.”

Serkam will see a four-cornered fight, with candidates from Barisan Nasional, Perikatan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan, aside from Norazalanshah. – The Vibes, November 15, 2021
