KOTA KINABALU – Sabah is seeing an entry of another political entity as Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) president-designate Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin revealed the fledgling party’s state chief.

She then confirmed that the party now has 26 divisions, including Labuan.

PBM has picked vice-president Rahimah Majid to be its Sabah chief. She is known as a former Sabah PKR leader thought to have joined Bersatu following the Sheraton Move in 2020.

“I have a structure in Sabah. My chairman is Rahimah. We have 26 divisions including in Labuan, where it was built from the grassroots, not from the top-down. PBM already has 192 divisions nationwide,” Zuraida told reporters after attending the Malaysia Cocoa Board award ceremony here last night.

She added that she welcomes any elected representatives to join her new party, saying that “the more the merrier and the happier they will be”.

PBM was formed on November 21, last year. – The Vibes, June 23, 2022
