KUALA LUMPUR – Four people have been called in by police to provide statements over abuse alleged by a 15-year-old child actress against her father.

In a statement today, Subang Jaya district police chief Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said those called up were the child actress, her mother, a medical officer, and the person who conducted an interview with the child actress.

Wan Azlan added that investigations are ongoing and upon completion, the police will refer their findings to the deputy public prosecutor for further action.

He said the police took statements from the medical officer and the interviewer on Wednesday.

The case came about after the child actress, who featured in a podcast uploaded to the Bros Gang TV YouTube channel on September 3, detailed the alleged mistreatment she suffered at the hands of a “manipulative” father.

Other than claiming she was forced to watch pornographic videos with him and his friends when she was only five years old, she alleged that her father coerced her into watching him masturbate while also touching her inappropriately.

The child actor said her mother had to bear her father’s financial debts even after their divorce, adding that he would not be around whenever the family needed help.

The abuse allegedly took place from 2013 to 2017.

Her father had since been summoned by police to provide a statement.

He expressed shock at the allegations and lodged his own police report on the matter.

The man also denied any wrongdoing, labelling the claims made by his daughter as “extreme and crazy”.

“Previously, there were rumours going around about me, but I kept quiet and didn’t do anything (in response) as they (the rumours) did not involve my dignity, the law or criminal cases.

“However, the accusations now are very serious and involve the issue of child abuse and molestation. I am not that crazy to do things like that.”

He also questioned why his daughter had been silent on the matter all the while, only to “expose” him recently, claiming that her actions “do not make sense”.

The man is being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code for outrage of modesty.

He is also investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001 for neglect and Section 292 of the Penal Code for possession of pornographic material. – The Vibes, September 10, 2022
