KUALA LUMPUR – Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has stressed that his speech during MIC Congress has been twisted by the coalition’s enemies to confuse and instigate the rakyat.
In a Facebook post, last night, Zahid reiterated that BN would have to “establish and uphold the truth” by winning the 15th general election (GE15) as selective political prosecution would be charged against the party’s leaders, should the coalition lose.
“On minute 2.35 (of the video), it is clear that I am stressing on selective political prosecution.
“This is what I meant about the risks for BN if the enemy wins the 15th General Election. BN’s enemies will misuse their powers for political persecution,” he said.
As such, Zahid said the people should be aware of political spinning and deception being made against BN.
He said these were the methods used by the parties involved to win GE14 which is to spin, confuse and instigate the rakyat.
He stressed that this is indeed the true nature of the opposition’s attitude and ways since the beginning.
Confusion and misconceptions, which ultimately leads to the sin of slander never ends.
“May Allah protect Malaysia this time from fraudsters and slanderers.
“To all Malaysians, together we reject the politics of defamation,” he added.
During his speech at the MIC event on Monday, Zahid had warned that other BN leaders could similarly suffer selective prosecution from PH’s would-be government – just as he and his predecessor, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, have endured.
“I’m not the only one that will be charged, Tok Mat, you are on the waiting list,” he said, referring to Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and drawing laughter from the crowd.
Zahid then quipped to MIC president Tan Sri SA Vigneswaran, party deputy president Datuk Seri M. Saravanan, MCA president Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong, and Umno veteran politician Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein not to take this issue lightly as they too are supposedly in the crosshairs of their political rivals.
“Tan Sri Vignes don’t laugh, you are also included and so is Datuk Seri Saravanan. (Wee) Ka Siong, they won’t forget you, you will be charged as well. Hisham, please don’t smile,” said Zahid in jest. – The Vibes, October 13, 2022
