[UPDATED] Covid-19: 935 new cases, three new deaths

KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia today recorded 935 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the cumulative cases to 60,752. 

From the new cases today, four are imports and the rest are local transmissions.

The total active cases now stands at 11,348.

There are three new deaths today, bringing the toll to 348. There are still 110 patients under intensive care and 45 requiring ventilation aid.

Sabah today tops the list of new Covid-19 cases with 326, followed by Selangor (161) and Negri Sembilan (158).

Among the new cases, 103 are from prison clusters – Bakti (95), Tembok (5), GK Tawau (2) and Kepayan Prison (1).

Perak has 79 cases, Johor (60), Kuala Lumpur (59), Kelantan (28), Kedah (24), Penang (17), Labuan (13), Putrajaya (5), Sarawak (4) and Terengganu (1).

Among the new cases, 103 are from prison clusters – Bakti (95), Tembok (5), GK Tawau (2) and Kepayan Prison (1).

Meanwhile, the three deaths came from Sabah, one each from Sandakan, Kota Kinabalu and Tawau.

Malaysia also has six new clusters today.

Index cases in Tawau’s Bot Biru cluster tested positive on November 15, and as of today, 17 have been found positive.

The Blok 31 cluster is also in Tawau where the index cases was found on November 21, and now 13 people have tested positive.

Johor Baru’s Gemilang cluster involves a logistics company and 26 people have been tested positive.

In another construction site cluster, Sg Udang in Kepong, recorded a total of 11 positive cases. 

Meanwhile, the Cengal cluster involves Kota Baru and Machang, Kelantan and so far has 15 patients.

Lastly, the Damar Laut cluster in Penang island and Padang Terap, Kedah has a total of 13 cases. – The Vibes, November 26, 2020
