MELAKA – Fifty-three people from 14 families have been evacuated in Alor Gajah due to floods in four villages following heavy rain last night.

The state Disaster Management Committee secretariat said the evacuees were moved to a relief centre in SK Durian Tunggal, which was opened at 11pm.

“They are from Kg Gadek, Kg Punggur, Kg Bukit Tambun, and Kg Bukit Balai,” it said in a statement today. – Bernama, October 23, 2022
