KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged Malaysians to remain united by persevering through adversity together.

In a video message commemorating Chinese New Year, Anwar said that the rakyat should never give up on the nation and must come together as one to face any future obstacles.

“We (Malaysians) have gone through all sorts of challenges and trials. When looking for rays of hope, we should never surrender.

“As a mature independent country, it would be wise for us to empower all races that are part of our beloved nation,” he said in the video posted today.

The video, narrated by Anwar, tells the story of a rabbit named Miki who soldiers through tribulations thrown its way and steadfastly believes in the future holding positive gains.

The video, produced by the Prime Minister’s Office and RTM, highlights how one should never admit defeat, even when bogged down by hopelessness and cynicism.

The Lunar New Year welcoming the Year of the Rabbit will be celebrated on January 22 (Sunday).  The Vibes, January 20, 2023
