KUALA LUMPUR – Multi-hyphenate Datuk Afdlin Shauki has been appointed as the new chairman for Yayasan Wilayah Persekutuan Media (YWPM) Sdn Bhd.

YWPM is a publishing corporation for the news portal Wilayahku, which was founded in 2019.

Afdlin – who is also a producer, a director, and an actor – said on his Instagram that he aims to make positive changes in the company.

“I am grateful for my appointment as the chairman of YWPM in Putrajaya,” he said in a post.

“This is a big responsibility. God willing, together we will make improvements in YWPM,” he said.

In his post, Afdlin also shared images of him and the staff engaging in conversation.

At the same time, Afdlin announced his plan to create a portal filled with interesting and positive content.

“Enough with the painful and negative news. We want to provide information, be an inspiration, and give hope to the people of the Federal Territories! God willing,” he said. – The Vibes, May 2, 2023
