PETALING JAYA – Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor will lead Perikatan Nasional’s challenge in Kedah by defending his Jeneri seat.

Along with the caretaker menteri besar will be two footballers – former Harimau Malaya captain Baddrol Bakhtiar in Gurun and former national midfielder Radhi Mat Din in Alor Mengkudu.

There are 36 state seats in Kedah, of which PN held 20 before the assembly was dissolved.

Radhi will be challenging Kedah Pakatan Harapan chief Datuk Mahfuz Omar.

The two had gone against each other in 2018 when they contested the Pokok Sena parliament seat, with Mahfuz winning it.

Overall, PAS will contest 21 seats, followed by Bersatu (12), and Gerakan (three).

Gerakan will contest in Kota Darul Aman, Bakar Arang, and Kulim. – The Vibes, July 26, 2023
