PETALING JAYA – A senior police officer, 14 policemen, and two deputy public prosecutors were detained at an entertainment outlet along Jalan Datuk Sheikh Ahmad in Seremban, Negri Sembilan, this morning.

According to a copy of a police report sighted in the Edisi Siasat Telegram channel, they were detained by the Bukit Aman Integrity and Standards Compliance Department at about 2.30am.

Of the 17 detained, the report stated that only one tested negative, while urine tests on all the rest revealed they were positive for ketamine, amphetamine, and methamphetamine use.

The officer and 14 policemen detained were from various departments, including narcotics and traffic.

The two prosecutors detained were from Shah Alam and Negri Sembilan.

The report stated that investigations were being carried out under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

Berita Harian reported that Negri Sembilan police chief Datuk Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof had since confirmed the raid by Bukit Aman, with cooperation from the state police.

However, he could not elaborate as investigations are ongoing. – The Vibes, August 19, 2023
