PETALING JAYA – Do you have at least RM1.85 million lying around? If you are fresh out of ideas on what to buy, actor Azhar Sulaiman is apparently selling his car licence plate registration number.

MAF14 belongs to the architect and actor, and is currently tied to his Nissan Murano.

However, the unique registration number which can be read as “mafia”, is now up for sale to anyone interested.

Initially, the actor posted the “advertisement” on his Instagram page but it has since been deleted.

The message read: “The one and only Mafia title for sale. Bidding starts at RM1.85 million.”

He included a photo of the car bearing the plate number with a copy of the vehicle’s road tax to prove that he really owned MAF14.

There was also a number to call for those interested.

The same post is still available on the actor’s TikTok account.

In the comment section, a user claimed they had seen the plate on Honda circa 1998/1999. However, Azhar expressed his curiosity about how his plate number was used by someone else.

Meanwhile, another user said he had been “following” this plate number since it first made its appearance and that he knew it had always belonged to Azhar.

Joking about the hefty price tag, one user asked if they could pay using Atome, which is an installment-based payment facility.

It is unclear if Azhar has found interested bidders, but expensive licence plates can be considered a norm in Malaysia.

When the WWW series came out for Kuala Lumpur, the Johor sultan won the bid for WWW1 for RM520,000.

More recently, the FF series recorded the highest collection made by the Road Transport Department with a whopping total of RM34.3 million.

FF1 was also won by Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar for RM1.2 million. – The Vibes, August 24. 2023
